Course Procedure
Every weekend, the team schedules the week ahead. You will receive the times and meeting locations for the lessons by Sunday at the latest, ensuring you’re at the best place and time according to your level and the surf conditions.
It’s crucial to be on time so you can choose the appropriate equipment for your level and body type.
For multi-day courses, you’ll be given a wetsuit on the first day. On subsequent days, you’re expected to be dressed and ready to go, on time and at the meeting point.
The duration of private surf lessons is 1 hour and 15 minutes, from departure to return to the van. Generally, there’s a minimum of 1 hour spent in the water (on multi-day courses, the briefings are shortened, and practice time increases gradually).
In private lessons, the briefing begins as soon as we cross the dune, with a discussion about the surfer’s level and expectations, their past experiences, physical fitness… We also cover details about the practice area and the day’s conditions. A reminder of the rules of priority and surf etiquette is given before starting warm-up and technical introduction, tailored to the surfer’s level.
We have a brief debrief on the way back and discuss the next session. Have a question? Contact us.
